Metro Soccer now has online registration available for Metro Tryouts.  All players are required to register for Tryouts by APRIL 7, 2008. Tryouts dates will be announced shortly, but likely will begin the second and third weeks of April.

All players are required to register for tryouts. Boys are reminded that there is a new format for boys teams in 2008/09 season. There will only be teams fielded at U14/U16/U18. Inside each of these age groups, there will be designated "A" and "B" teams. The idea is that U15 players in the U16 age groups will likely make up the majority of the B team, but that is not to say completely, and that U16 players who do not make the A team, will be placed on the B team.

The girl's format for this year will remain the same and there will be teams at U14/15/16/17/18. The Metro board has not finalized the decision of an A & B team in each age group for girls. Depending on the depth of the players that are evaluated will determine if UVI Metro consists of an A team and a B team.

Players are eligable to tryout for the age group "UP" from their specific age group, but must also tryout for their own age group as well. Also meaning they must register for each age group tryout.

Players will be evaluated by independent evaluators that are selected by the Metro board. Once the assessments are completed, the assessors will meet with the coaches to select the teams. Teams will be selected on the best representation of the Metro club, not to the desire of the coaches needs. The club has a responsibility to field the best possible teams specific to thier age groups, to ensure the age group can be competitive in the province. All final team selections that are done by the coaching staff will be approved by the board prior to the  announcement of the team.
